Our Story
Northern Planners was established in 2013 as a trading name of the parent company, Energyline Limited which was originally founded in 2002.
Whilst Energyline provides integrated consultancy, survey, planning, environmental and technical services to the power systems industry, Northern Planners focuses on providing professional planning, drawing and landscape architecture services across residential, commercial, energy and industrial sectors.
With an office situated in North Yorkshire and staff based across Yorkshire, the team are ideally placed to work throughout the Yorkshire region and the UK.
About us
We are a small, friendly team seeking to provide honest, pragmatic and realistic advice tailored to your project. Our personal level of service is important to us, whether we are working on small schemes close to home or further afield on larger, national scale projects.
Our team is made up of three Chartered Town Planners, Amy, Sophie and Stuart who between them have extensive experience working in the private sector. We are supported on our projects by our Landscape Architect, Kate, who uses her design expertise, creativity and knowledge to develop landscaping solutions and prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs).
We also have technical plan-drawing and surveying (land and building) services in-house to support delivery of our planning projects.
Our team ensure they always work to the professional standards of the relevant industry approved body (Royal Town Planning Institute and The Landscape Institute). It is the experience, skills and values of our team that make us what we are. We strive to deliver our work in the most effective, pragmatic and efficient way.
